- Scott Barker, Tucson Lifestyle Magazine

"The Great Kat. This Juilliard-trained violin and guitar virtuoso displays the kind of blazing speed that shoots down all the other contenders for the 'guitar god' throne. - Violin/guitar virtuoso The Great Kat
If The Great Kat had lived in the Old West 100, she would have been the fastest (and most gorgeous) gunslinger around. As it is, this Juilliard-trained violin and guitar virtuoso displays the kind of blazing speed that shoots down all the other contenders for the "guitar god" throne. Her latest CD, Bloody Vivaldi, features a two-minute-plus version of "The Four Seasons," played with breathtaking passion and intensity. Even if you don’t own a 300hp sports car, this is great music for shipping around corners on a mountain road, as is her mini-version of Sarasate's "Carmen Fantasy." Kat's goal has been to revitalize classical music for the 21st century, and create a synthesis between the geniuses of the past and the wild heart pf rock and roll, as evidenced by the two middle tracks, "Torture Chamber" and "BLOOD." These two quick cuts-not for the faint-of-heart-showcase this uber-guitarist's knack for being on the most outrageous, sharp-tongued, fearless forces in popular music today.
