How to shred Beethoven...
Beethoven would have either loved or throttled Katherine
Thomas.
Better known to the speed metal crowd as "Great Kat," Thomas
is a Juilliard trained violinist who crossed over from
straight classical to heavy metal after graduating.
She now specializes in superfast headbanging takes of
classical works on guitar.
In that vein, one of her best known albums is "Beethoven on
Speed".
And as for speed she's not kidding.
Now that I think about it, I'm sure Beethoven would have
loved the in-your-face energy. And the dominatrix look.
