THE GREAT KAT "FRIES" BEETHOVEN

She is fast, technical and devilish when she plays and it connects very well to classical music. Great Kat almost makes sparks out of her fingers. The Beethoven's Guitar Shred DVD is her newest product, which features breathtaking tracks. For those who like speed, she bangs! "The guitar is an instrument that allows virtuosity, as well as the violin," says Kat. "I Transcribed note for note complex violin solos and orchestrations for 'shred' guitar in a metal band. Beethoven was a brilliant pianist, and he also played violin and viola. His main brilliant characteristic was his genius and virtuoso complicated contrapuntal orchestrations. In my new DVD, I recorded a version of the 5th Symphony.

The most difficult part was editing all parts so that they were smooth, polished and well tailored to each transition. I had to master this material at the incredible speed of 390 bpm for various parts of guitar and violin."

Ela é rápida, técnica e endiabrada quando toca, e se conecta muito bem à música erudita. Great Kat quase faz sair faíscas dos dedos. O DVD Beethoven’s Guitar Shred é o seu mais novo produto, que apresenta faixas de tirar o fôlego. Para quem gosta de velocidade, ela arrasa! “A guitarra é um instrumento que permite virtuosismo, assim como o violino”, afirma Kat. “Transcrevi nota por nota solos complexos de violino e orquestrações para a guitarra ‘shred’ em uma banda de metal. Beethoven era um pianista brilhante, além de também tocar violino e viola. Sua principal e genial característica eram suas virtuosas e complicadas orquestrações contrapontísticas. Em meu novo DVD, gravei versões para a 5ª Sinfonia.

O mais difícil foi editar todas as partes de forma que ficassem suaves, polidas e com cada transição bem costurada. Tive de dominar esse material na incrível velocidade de 390 bpm para várias partes de guitarra e violino”.
