"The Great Kat once said that she was the reincarnation of Beethoven. The Great Kat, a.k.a. Katherine Thomas, has made a name for herself with her rather unusual interpretations of classical music, not to mention her outlandish album covers.
A speed-metal artist, the Great Kat was listed as one of Guitar One magazine's fastest shredders of all time.
She's actually a Juilliard School trained classical violinist and on occasion, she incorporates the violin into her performances.
Below, you can see a death-metal video that she posted this weekend in honour of the 336th birth anniversary of Johann Sebastian Bach. Yes, this video is real: the Great Kat offers her rendition of a Bach classic. It's his Brandenburg Concerto #3—unlike any version you've ever heard before."
