ChartAttack: In your own words, define what/who The Great Kat is?

The Great Kat: The Great Kat is the WORLD’S FASTEST GUITAR GODDESS, Juilliard grad violin virtuoso turned HIGH PRIESTESS OF GUITAR SHRED was named THE "TOP 10 FASTEST SHREDDERS OF ALL TIME" by GUITAR ONE MAGAZINE, and THE NEW BEETHOVEN OF THE 21st CENTURY HERE TO WAKE UP YOUR FLACCID brains into the INTERNET WIRED, HIGH-SPEED WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

What is it about Wagner that made you choose this particular piece to perform?

THE CONCEPT of The Great Kat’s WAGNER’S WAR CD came DIRECTLY from the EVENTS of 9/11!!!! The Great Kat CHOSE WAGNER’S "RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES" (from Wagner’s Opera Cycle "The Ring" — "Die Walkure") because it is the "BATTLE CRY" to WAR!!!!! On [my] WAGNER’S WAR CD, the song "WAR" was written out of SEVERE RAGE and the song "TERROR" was written in HORROR out of the TERRORIST ATTACK on THE WORLD TRADE CENTER AND MY CITY — NEW YORK CITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

What other songs are you looking at working on in the future?

On the NEXT PSYCHO KAT CD, The Great Kat will be SHREDDING the INSANE Rimsky-Korsakov’s "FLIGHT OF THE BUMBLEBEE" for GUITAR, VIOLIN, BAND and ORCHESTRA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would you say that this is your first politically driven album?

YES, BECAUSE OF THE GREAT KAT’S FURY ABOUT THE TERRORISTS ATTACK ON MY CITY— NEW YORK CITY!!!!!! NOW IT’S TIME EVERYONE WOKE UP AND REALIZED these TERRORISTS BASTARDS ARE NOT GOING TO STOP, UNTIL THE U.S. STOPS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE "BATTLE CRY" TO WAR HAS SOUNDED!!!

 

Would you ever be interested in breaking outside of speed metal into other genres?

THE GREAT KAT HAS CREATED "SHRED/CLASSICAL" — the NEW AND UNIQUE COMBINATION of COMPLEX, CLASSICAL MUSIC and VICIOUS SHRED, SPEED METAL, designed to SPECIFICALLY MATCH the HIGH-SPEED INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Do you prefer to release your music independently, or would you work with a label again in the future?

The Great Kat PREFERS NOT TO BE DOMINATED BY IGNORANT LABELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Will you ever be able to release your first two albums again, or are they tied up by Roadrunner?

The Great Kat’s GROUNDBREAKING WORSHIP ME OR DIE! CD and REVOLUTIONARY BEETHOVEN ON SPEED CD ARE TIED UP by Roadrunner!!!!!!!

 

Speaking of Roadrunner, how does it feel to have history with the label responsible for Nickelback?

The REAL questions is: HOW DOES NICKELBACK FEEL TO HAVE HISTORY with THE REVOLUTIONARY GREAT KAT — THE NEW BEETHOVEN OF THE 21st CENTURY?????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Your own songs seem to have moved more towards death metal and/or grindcore than speed metal — yes or no?

The Great Kat uses VICIOUS GUITAR SHREDDING and BLOOD-DRIPPING DEATH METAL vocals, WITH COMPLEX CLASSICAL GUITAR/VIOLIN VIRTUOSITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

When will we see you in Canada? You have yet to come here! Do you tour much?

When ALL MY INSANE CANADIAN KAT SLAVES get off their BUTTS and DEMAND TO SEE the "KAT SHRED SHOW," THEN WE’LL see if THE GREAT KAT BLESSES CANADA WITH MY GODLY VIRTUOSITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Do you feel it is necessary to combine sex with music in order to stay at the top of the game?

If it takes wearing STUDDED, LEATHER BRAS, WHIPPING SLAVES and BEING DRENCHED IN BLOOD to wake you LETHARGIC BASTARDS UP, then that’s what THE GREAT KAT WILL DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Does it frustrate or empower you to know that many of your fans are eyeing you with other intent than just listening to your music?

EMPOWER!!!!!!!!!!! THE GREAT KAT IS GOD AND SHOULD BE WORSHIPPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW BOW, PEONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Are there any other women (musical or otherwise) that you respect and/or idolize, or are you pretty much only into dead composers?

THE GREAT KAT IS THE ONLY FEMALE COMPOSER IN HISTORY, SYSTEMATICALLY BREAKING DOWN THE STEREOTYPES THAT CAUSE MEN TO CRAP ON WOMEN!!!!!!!!!!!

 

What advice would you give to women looking to break into the music industry?
